The Safety Nerd grew up doing “risky stuff” and progressed into working in marine rescue, mine rescue, fire and emergency response and tier 1 construction safety. Learning that the reason people could undertake potentially hazardous jobs and survive unscathed, the Safety Nerd has reasoned that it comes down to the level of supervision, instruction and training people are provided.

Understanding “risk” (and why we take them) has been the Safety Nerd’s passion. Integrating risk-based hazard identification and analysis with practical solutions has combined that passion with technical accuracy to develop a nerdy focus supporting businesses in managing their health and safety systems.
